More than 70% of 17- to 24-year olds in the U.S. cannot serve in the military, primarily because they are too poorly educated, too overweight, or have a serious criminal record. Providing quality early learning opportunities to our youngest citizens is critical to securing our nation’s future.  Whether young people join the military or not, they all deserve quality early learning experiences to get on track for succeeding in school and in life – whatever career path they choose.
