Early Connections Harbor Homes and MarMooWorks, founded by Mary Arete Moodey, have teamed up for a rumbling Animal Stampede! Using movement, music making, painting, and storytelling, the children are bringing Mary Arete Moodey’s fifth book, When the Camel Sneezed, to life. Throughout the week, as they learn about the animal kingdom, they are listening to Saint-Saens’s Carnival of the Animals; dancing to the rhythm of words; and looking at Aboriginal art and paintings by Henri Rousseau. On Friday, July 1st, they will perform their original Jungle Jamboree at the Erie Zoo. “When the Camel Sneezed” will be available this fall at MarMooWorks, a company promoting literacy, interactive reading, and a love for learning and language at an early age.
